Composition: 

Rifaximin 200 mg per tablet.

Product Description: 

Gastrobiotic is a non-systemic antibiotic derived from rifamycin.
It acts locally in the gastrointestinal tract, with minimal absorption, and is used to treat bacterial infections of the gut.

Indications for Use: 

Recommended for treatment of traveler’s diarrhea caused by non-invasive strains of Escherichia coli,
hepatic encephalopathy (to reduce ammonia-producing bacteria),
and irritable bowel syndrome with diarrhea.

Method of Administration and Dosage: 

Dosage depends on indication and physician’s prescription.
Tablets should be swallowed whole with water.

Contraindications: 

Hypersensitivity to rifaximin, rifamycin derivatives, or excipients.
Contraindicated in cases of invasive bacterial infections or bloody diarrhea.

Precautions: 

Use with caution in patients with severe hepatic impairment.
Not recommended for systemic infections due to poor absorption.
