Composition:

Each 100 grams of ointment contains:

Calcium dobesylate 4 g;

Lidocaine hydrochloride 2 g;

Dexamethasone acetate 0.025 g;

Auxiliary components:

antioxidant (E320, E310)

macrogol 300;

propylene glycol.

Properties:

Calcium dobesylate acts on the capillary walls, normalizing their functions – increased permeability and decreased elasticity, redu inflammation. Calcium dobesylate also has an antithrombotic effect. Lidocaine hydrochloride,

a local anesthetic, may help relieve pain. Dexamethasone has a powerful antiinflammatory effect.

Doxyproct reduces inflammation, bleeding, provides rapid relief of symptoms associated with inflammation of the anal area: pain, burning, itching and a feeling of tension.

Indications:

• internal and external hemorrhoids;
• anal itching;
• eczema of the anal area;
• anitis, perianitis, cryptitis, papillitis;
• Acute hemorrhoidal thrombosis and anal fissures;
• preoperative and postoperative treatment for hemorrhoidectomy.

Method of administration and dosage:

Rectally and externally, 2-3 times a day. The ointment is applied in the morning and before bedtime, and, if possible, after a bowel movement. In cases of internal hemorrhoids, a cannula is used by screwing it onto a tube of ointment.

A cannula is inserted deep into the rectum, then lightly press on the tube while squeezing out the ointment. With this application, the tube is enough for up to 10 applications.

The duration of treatment is usually several days. The doctor should be informed if, after 1 – 2 weeks of treatment, there is no improvement in symptoms or worsening is observed. Treatment should not be resumed without consulting a doctor.

Contraindications:

• hypersensitivity to active substances and other components of the drug;
• children and adolescents up to 14 years old.

Precautions:

Should not be used for a long period of time.

Side effects:

• temporary burning sensation and pain in the area of application.
