Structure:
Each p / o tablet contains:
Ezetimibe 10mg
Atorvastatin – 10mg.
Auxiliary components: calcium carbonate, microcrystalline cellulose, lactose monohydrate, croscarmellose sodium, polysorbate 80, hydroxypropyl cellulose, purified water, magnesium stearate.
Properties:
Atoresa is a fixed-dose combination of atorvastatin and ezetimibe. Atorvastatin is a third generation hypolipidemic drug from the statin group. Reduces the level of “bad” cholesterol and triglycerides in the blood, while increasing the level of “good” cholesterol (high density lipoprotein or HDL). Ezetimibe lowers blood cholesterol levels by inhibiting the absorption of cholesterol by the small intestine. It lowers total cholesterol, LDL and triglycerides, and also increases HDL in patients with hypercholesterolemia. The combination of atorvastatin and ezetimibe is effective in improving total cholesterol, LDL, triglycerides, and HDL cholesterol.
Indications:
Treating high cholesterol levels and reducing the risk of stroke, heart attack, or other heart complications in people with type 2 diabetes, coronary artery disease, or other risk factors.
Mode of application:
Recommended dose: 1 tablet once a day, as a single dose at any time of the day, regardless of food intake. No dose adjustment is required in patients with renal impairment. The drug is not recommended for use in patients with impaired liver function.
Contraindications:
Hypersensitivity to ezetimibe, atorvastatin. Active liver disease or unexplained persistent elevation in serum transaminases. Pregnant and lactating women.
Precautions:
Therapy should be temporarily suspended or discontinued with any alcohol consumption, used with caution in patients with a history of liver disease. A patient with an acute, serious condition suggesting myopathy or with a risk factor predisposing to the development of renal failure. Patients with rare hereditary galactose intolerance, lappose glucose deficiency, galactose malabsorption should not take this medication, as it contains lactose.
Side effects:
Atoresis is generally well tolerated. Rare are upper respiratory tract infections, headache, myalgia, back pain, arthralgia, sinusitis, pharyngitis, abdominal pain, diarrhea, and fatigue.
Storage:
Store at a temperature not exceeding 25C in a dry place out of the reach of children.
Packaging:
The cardboard box contains 1,2 or 3 blisters of 14 p / o tablets each, paper instructions.
