Composition:
Each chewable tablet contains:
Acetylsalicylic Acid – 75 mg
Description:
Acetylsalicylic acid is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) with analgesic, antipyretic, anti-inflammatory, and antiplatelet properties. It is used to relieve mild to moderate pain, reduce fever and inflammation, and in low doses to prevent blood clots and reduce the risk of recurrent stroke or cardiovascular events.
Indications for Use:
-Mild to moderate pain
-Fever
-Inflammation
-Secondary prevention of ischemic stroke
-Prevention of clot formation after revascularization procedures.
Dosage and Administration:
Adults and children over 12 years: 1–2 tablets every 4–6 hours as needed.
Children aged 6–12 years: 1 tablet every 4–6 hours as needed.
Children under 6 years: Use only under medical supervision.
Take with food to minimize gastrointestinal discomfort.
Contraindications:
-Hypersensitivity to aspirin or other NSAIDs
-Peptic ulcer disease
-Bleeding disorders
-Children under 16 years with viral infections (e.g., influenza or chickenpox) due to risk of Reye’s syndrome.
Precautions:
-Use with caution in patients with a history of gastrointestinal diseases
-Increased risk of bleeding, especially when used with anticoagulants
-Long-term use requires monitoring of liver and kidney function, and coagulation profile.
Side Effects:
-Upset stomach, heartburn
-Allergic reactions
-Gastrointestinal or other types of bleeding
-Potential liver function disturbances with prolonged use.
Pregnancy and Lactation:
Use only under medical advice, especially during the third trimester.
Storage Conditions:
