Miconaz 2% Topical Cream 20 g

Composition:

Miconazole nitrate — 2% (20 mg per 1 g of cream).

Product Description:

Miconazole disrupts the synthesis of ergosterol in the fungal cell membrane, leading to changes in its permeability and cell death.
It also has antibacterial activity against certain gram‑positive microorganisms such as staphylococci and streptococci.
It is effective against dermatophytes, yeast fungi, fungi causing pityriasis versicolor, and certain bacteria in mixed infections.

Indications for Use:

• Dermatomycoses including lesions of the feet, hands, and groin area.
• Cutaneous candidiasis. 
• Tinea cruris. 
• Pityriasis versicolor. 
• Skin infections caused by mixed fungal and bacterial flora. 
• Intertrigo complicated by fungal infection.

Method of Administration and Dosage:

Apply a thin layer to the affected area of skin twice daily, morning and evening, and rub in gently.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to miconazole or excipients.
Pediatric use only under medical supervision.
Pregnancy and lactation only as prescribed by a physician.

Precautions:

Avoid contact with the eyes.
If no improvement is observed within two to four weeks, consult a physician.
Inform the physician of all topical and systemic medications being used.

Side Effects:

Rarely, local irritation, itching, erythema, and allergic reactions may occur.
Hypersensitivity reactions are possible.

Pregnancy and Lactation:

Use is permitted only under medical supervision.

Storage Conditions:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C.
Keep out of the reach of children.
