Composition:

Each hard gelatin capsule contains:
Ketoprofen — 100 mg.

Product Description:

Ketofan is a non‑steroidal anti‑inflammatory drug (NSAID) with anti‑rheumatic and antipyretic properties.
It acts both centrally and peripherally.

Indications for Use:

• Rheumatoid arthritis.
• Osteoarthritis.
• Ankylosing spondylitis.
• Acute articular and periarticular disorders.
• Low back pain.
• Muscle pain.
• Dysmenorrhea.

Method of Administration and Dosage:

• Oral use, swallow capsule whole with food.
• Adults: 50–100 mg twice daily.
• Maximum daily dose: 200 mg.
• Dysmenorrhea: 50 mg up to 3 times daily.
• Treatment duration for dysmenorrhea: usually 3–4 days from onset of menstruation or symptoms.
• Use the lowest effective dose for the shortest duration.

Contraindications:

• Pediatric use.
• Hypersensitivity to ketoprofen, aspirin, or excipients.
• Gastrointestinal bleeding or other hemorrhages.
• Gastric or intestinal ulcer.
• Severe cardiac, hepatic, or renal insufficiency.
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding.

Precautions:

Dosage adjustment required in renal impairment and elderly patients.
Discontinue and seek medical advice if condition worsens or allergic reactions occur.

Adverse Reactions / Side Effects:

• Nervous system: headache, dizziness, drowsiness, seizures, mood disorders, vertigo.
• Cardiovascular: tachycardia, bradycardia, hypertension, arrhythmia, heart failure.
• Respiratory: asthma attacks, bronchospasm.
• Sensory: photosensitivity, alopecia, vision disturbances, tinnitus.
• Gastrointestinal: nausea, vomiting, diarrhea, constipation, abdominal pain, gastritis, stomatitis, colitis, hepatitis, peptic ulcer, GI bleeding, intestinal perforation.
• Other: fluid retention, edema, rash, itching, urticaria, angioedema.

Pregnancy and Lactation:

Contraindicated.

Storage Conditions:

Store at temperatures not exceeding 30 °C, in a dry place, out of reach of children.

Carton box containing 3 blisters of 10 capsules each, with leaflet.
