Dimra

Compound:

Each tablet contains:

Diclofenac potassium 50 mg

Metocarbamol 500 mg

Auxiliary components:

Starch, croscarmellose, povidone K30, magnesium stearate, talc.

Properties:

Diclofenac Potassium:

non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID). Dimra tablets contain the potassium salt of diclofenac, an ncn-steroldate compound with pronounced and clinically manifested analgesic, anti-inflammatory and antipyretic properties. Diclofenac is a potent inhibitor of prostaglandin biosynthesis and a modulator of the release and absorption of arachidonic acid. Diclofenac Potassium has a rapid onset of action and is therefore suitable for the treatment of acute attacks of pain and inflammation.

Methocarbamol 500 is used as a short-term adjunct to the symptomatic treatment of acute musculoskeletal disorders associated with painful muscle spasms.

Indications:

For the relief of pain in musculoskeletal disorders associated with muscle spasm and injury, such as:

– stretching

– backache

– tense neck muscles

Dosage and administration:

Unless otherwise directed by a physician, 1 to 3 tablets daily.

– For oral administration.

– Preferably taken with or after meals.

– Tablets should be swallowed whole with liquid.

Contraindications:

Hypersensitivity to diclofenac, methocarbamol or any of the excipients. Due to the presence of Dclofenac Potassium:

• Active or recurrent bleeding from a history of peptic ulcer (two or more separate episodes of proven ulcer or bleeding).

• NSAIDs are contraindicated in patients who have previously experienced hypersensitivity reactions (eg, asthma, rhinitis, angioedema, or urticaria) in response to ibuprofen, aspirin, or other non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drugs.

Elderly patients are at greater risk of serious gastrointestinal disease.
