Composition:

Ursodeoxycholic acid 250 mg

Product Description:

White, oblong, biconvex, film-coated tablets with a score line on one side

Indications for use:

Dissolution of radiolucent (cholesterol) gallstones measuring no more than 15 mm in diameter in patients with a functioning gallbladder;
Treatment of primary biliary cholangitis (PBC) and prevention of gallstone formation

Method of administration and dosage:

• Tablets should be swallowed whole, washed down with water, without chewing or crushing.
• The dosage is determined by the attending physician: the standard dose for dissolving stones is 8–10 mg/kg of body weight per day;
• For primary biliary cholangitis — 13–15 mg/kg/day;
• For stone prevention — 300–500 mg/day

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to ursodeoxycholic acid or other components of the drug;
• Acute inflammatory diseases of the gallbladder and bile ducts;
• Bile duct obstruction;
• Frequent episodes of biliary colic;
• Radiopaque calcified gallstones;
• Impaired gallbladder contractility

Precautions:

Use must be carried out under medical supervision;
During therapy, it is necessary to regularly monitor liver function parameters

Adverse reaction / Side effects:

Gastrointestinal disorders (for example, diarrhea, pain in the upper right quadrant of the abdomen), allergic reactions are possible

Pregnancy and lactation:

Use is possible after consultation with a doctor, if the potential benefit outweighs the potential risk to the fetus or child

Storage conditions:

Store in a dry place at a temperature not exceeding 30°C
