Composition:
Enoxaparin Sodium 2000 IU (20 mg)/0.2 ml solution for injections.
Product Description:
Clexane is a low molecular weight heparin (LMWH) anticoagulant.
It prevents and treats blood clots by inhibiting clotting factors, reducing the risk of deep vein thrombosis (DVT), pulmonary embolism (PE), and other thromboembolic disorders.
Indications for Use:
Prevention of venous thromboembolism in surgical or medical patients.
Treatment of deep vein thrombosis and pulmonary embolism.
Prevention of clotting during hemodialysis.
Adjunct therapy in unstable angina and myocardial infarction.
Method of Administration and Dosage:
Administered by subcutaneous injection, intravenous bolus, or extracorporeal use in dialysis circuits.
Dosage depends on indication, patient weight, and clinical condition.
Contraindications:
Must not be used in patients with active major bleeding, severe thrombocytopenia, or hypersensitivity to enoxaparin, heparin, or pork-derived products.
Precautions:
Caution in patients with renal impairment, history of bleeding disorders, or concurrent use of other anticoagulants.
Regular monitoring of platelet counts and anti-Xa levels may be required.
Adverse Reactions:
Possible side effects include bleeding, thrombocytopenia, injection site reactions, elevated liver enzymes, and allergic responses.
Pregnancy and Lactation:
May be used during pregnancy under medical supervision.
Safety in lactation is not fully established.
