Composition:
Each film-coated tablet contains:
Olmesartan medoxomil (micronized) 40 mg,
Amlodipine 5 mg,
Hydrochlorothiazide 25 mg.
Product Description:
Averothiazide is a fixed-dose combination antihypertensive preparation.
Olmesartan is an angiotensin II receptor blocker that reduces vascular resistance, Amlodipine is a calcium channel blocker that relaxes blood vessels, and Hydrochlorothiazide is a thiazide diuretic that lowers blood pressure by promoting sodium and water excretion.
Together, they provide effective control of hypertension in patients requiring combination therapy.
Indications for Use:
Averothiazide is indicated for the treatment of essential hypertension in patients whose blood pressure is not adequately controlled with monotherapy.
Method of Administration and Dosage:
The tablets are administered orally, swallowed whole with water.
Dosage is individualized by the physician depending on the patient’s blood pressure response.
Regular monitoring of renal function and electrolytes is recommended.
Contraindications:
Averothiazide is contraindicated in patients with hypersensitivity to any of the active ingredients or excipients, severe renal impairment, anuria, pregnancy, and lactation.
