Composition:

Linagliptin – 5 mg.
Metformin hydrochloride – 1000 mg.
Excipients.

Product Description:

Extended release film-coated tablets, a combination oral hypoglycemic agent.

Indications for Use:

For the treatment of type 2 diabetes mellitus in adults as an adjunct to diet and exercise to improve glycemic control.

Method of Administration and Dosage:

Orally, once daily with the evening meal, swallowed whole without chewing, in accordance with the doctor's prescription.

Contraindications:

• Hypersensitivity to linagliptin, metformin, or any of the excipients.
• Type 1 diabetes mellitus.
• Diabetic ketoacidosis.
• Diabetic coma.
• Severe renal or hepatic impairment.
• Acute conditions with a risk of impaired renal function.
• Pregnancy and breastfeeding period.
• Children's age.

Precautions:

Before surgical interventions or radioisotope examinations with the administration of iodine-containing contrast agents, the administration of the drug should be temporarily discontinued under medical supervision.

Adverse reaction / Side Effects:

• Nausea may occur.
• Vomiting.
• Diarrhea.
• Abdominal pain.
• Decreased appetite.
• Hypoglycemia (when used in combination with sulfonylurea derivatives or insulin).
• Skin reactions.

Pregnancy and Lactation:

Contraindicated for use during pregnancy and the period of breastfeeding.

Storage Conditions:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 25°C, in a dry place out of the reach of children.
