Each tablet contains:

Rosuvastatin – 10 mg.

Excipients: microcrystalline cellulose (Avicel PH 102), dibasic calcium phosphate, dry lactose, sodium croscarmellose, hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, magnesium stearate, polyethylene glycol, titanium dioxide, purified talc.

Properties:

Rosuvastatin is a synthetic hypolipidemic agent from the statin group, an inhibitor of HMG-CoA reductase. Inhibition of HMG-CoA reductase activity leads to a series of sequential reactions, as a result of which the intracellular cholesterol content decreases and a compensatory increase in the activity of LDL receptors occurs, and, accordingly, the acceleration of cholesterol catabolism (Xc) of LDL.

Indications:

Treatment of hypercholesterolemia in adults, adolescents and children aged 10 years and older with primary hypercholesterolemia (type IIa, including heterozygous familial hypercholesterolemia) or mixed hypercholesterolemia (type IIb) as an adjunct to diet when diet and other non-pharmacological treatments (exercise, weight loss) are insufficient. Homozygous familial hypercholesterolemia as an adjunct to diet and other cholesterol-lowering therapy or when such therapy is not suitable for the patient. Primary prevention of major cardiovascular complications (stroke, myocardial infarction) in adult patients without clinical evidence of coronary heart disease, but with an increased risk of its development.

Directions for use:

Перед началом лечения пациент должен быть переведен на стандартную диету, снижающую уровень холестерина, которую следует продолжать во время лечения. Дозу следует подбирать индивидуально в соответствии с целью терапии и реакцией пациента. Препарат можно принимать в любое время суток, не зависимо от приема пищи. Диапазон доз составляет 5-40 мг 1 раз в день. Лечение гиперхолестеринемии: рекомендуемая начальная доза составляет 5 или 10 мг внутрь 1 раз в день. При выраженной гиперлипидемии начальная доза может составлять 20 мг. Корректировать дозу на увеличение можно через 4 недели при необходимости. Гетерозиготная семейная гиперхолестеринемия у педиатрических пациентов (10–17 лет): обычный диапазон доз препарата составляет 5–20 мг/день; детям от 6 до 9 лет рекомендуется 5-10 мг 1 раз в день; детям с 10 до 17 лет – 5-20 мг 1 раз в день. Максимальная рекомендуемая доза составляет 20 мг/день. Дозы должны быть индивидуализированы в соответствии с рекомендуемой целью терапии. Корректировки следует производить с интервалами ≥4 недель. Гомозиготная семейная гиперхолестеринемия: рекомендуемая начальная доза – 20 мг 1 раз в день. Для азиатских пациентов следует рассмотреть возможность начала терапии с 5 мг 1 раз в день. Для пациентов с тяжелой почечной недостаточностью, не находящихся на гемодиализе, дозировка должна начинаться с 5 мг 1 раз в день и не должна превышать 10 мг 1 раз в день.

Противопоказания:

Hypersensitivity to any component of the drug. Patients with active liver disease, which may include unexplained persistent elevation of liver transaminase levels. Pregnancy and lactation.

Precautions:

Use with caution in renal failure, hypothyroidism, personal or family history of hereditary muscle diseases and previous history of muscle toxicity when using other HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors, chronic alcoholism, in patients over 65 years of age, with a history of liver disease, sepsis, arterial hypotension, during extensive surgery, trauma, severe metabolic endocrine or electrolyte disorders, uncontrolled epilepsy, in people of Asian origin (Chinese, Japanese). When using rosuvastatin at a dose of 40 mg, it is recommended to monitor renal function. It is recommended to determine liver function tests before starting therapy and 3 months after starting therapy. Rosuvastatin should be discontinued or the dose reduced if the level of transaminase activity in the blood serum is 3 times the ULN.

Side effects:

The drug is generally well tolerated. Adverse events observed during its administration are usually mild and transient. Headache, myalgia, asthenia, constipation, dizziness, nausea, abdominal pain, diabetes mellitus; itching, rash and urticaria; myopathy, hypersensitivity reactions, pancreatitis; jaundice, hepatitis; arthralgia; memory loss.

Storage:

Store at a temperature not exceeding 30C in the original packaging, in a place protected from moisture and out of reach of children.

Package:

The cardboard box contains 1,2,3 or 4 blisters of 7 p/o tablets each, and paper instructions.
